Electric harp, 31 strings
Electric harps have no resonating soundbox, so they are extremely quiet when not plugged into an amplifier. However, when plugged in, they produce huge sound, and can drive any effects pedal that you would care to attach it to. There is a transducer (pickup) against every string, so all the vibrations of the harp are captured. By using Kortier harp pickups, only the vibrations of the strings are captured, so there is no chance of feedback through the sound system. Having said that, it is important to point out that the material which the harp frame is made of is important. Good harp sound comes from wood, not from hollow carbon fiber tubes. This harp is solid wood (willow or alder), but weighs the same as similar carbon fiber harps, costs much less, and sounds better. This harp has 31 strings descending to C, two octaves below middle C, Loveland levers on every string. The harp can be strapped on and played, or the baseboard can be quickly attached by sliding the harp into the slot and tightening two wing nuts, no tools needed. The blue harp has been sold, but we can make another if that color appeals to you. The pink one is ready to ship today.
