Used Kortier 34 String Harp
This harp is one of the first harps that I built, in the late 1980's. As you can see, I was trying out different concepts of harpbuilding, so some features are different from my current models. None the less, this instrument has provided many years of great music making to a local harpist (a one owner harp) and has many more left in it. The soundbox is shallow from front to back, so the sound projects quite well. The soundboard itself is fine quality spruce and is not veneered. This gives the harp a quick response and a clear bright tone. As all older nonveneered harps are prone to doing, the soundboard has developed many cracks from humidity changes. This in no way weakens the structure or hurts the sound, think of them as marks of age and wisdom. The harp is equipped with a full set of Loveland levers, a real plus in a harp at this price level. Harp is 56 inches tall, weighs 22 pounds.
Price of $1,500 includes tuning wrench, no case. Shipping can be arranged. To purchase, see instructions on Purchase Page
